Experience nature with all your senses and enjoy the well-being of the mountains when you visit Vitalpinum’s wellness and experiential garden, located on the property of the Erste Tiroler Latschenöl-Brennerei Brüder Unterweger. Take a tour of a different kind, exploring all the senses along the way, to discover the special powers of alpine medicinal plants.

Feel the different plant materials on the barefoot path and enjoy this kind of foot massage. Find out interesting facts about bees and honey production, or relax on the comfortable wooden loungers at the pine relax with all your senses at the Swiss stone pine power station or in the lavender relaxation room. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of alpine medicinal herbs.

Barefoot path
    After the chestnut fountain you can continue on your barefoot journey, discovering the sensations of the different materials in each of the gardens, like chestnuts, juniper berries, and lavender blossoms.

      In the alpine herbal shower, which is experienced fully clothed, you’ll be bathed in a gentle mist that will momentarily envelop you with the delightfully rich scent of local alpine plants.

          Herb hut with herb fields
            Experience up close the beauty of the individual medicinal plants and discover interesting facts about working with medicinal plants. The harvested plants are transformed into precious cosmetic products at our site in Thal/Assling. The plants harvested in the Vitalpinum garden are just a small portion of the plants needed for our cosmetic production.

              Natural bath
                Bathe your hands and feet in the residual plant material obtained from distilling types of conifers, breathe in the wonderful scent, and feel the soothing warmth loosen your muscles. The residual plant material, still warm from the distillation process, is brought to the sensory table every afternoon, so visitors can enjoy a natural bath. Outside of these times, the woodchip table serves as a sensory station to promote circulation and mobility in the hands and feet. For more information, inquire at our ticket counter.

                                      Guided tours

                                      Experience the wellness garden as a group and learn a lot of interesting facts about the traditional First Tyrolean Mountain Pine Oil Distillery Brüder Unterweger and the special effect of alpine medicinal plants in addition to the diverse sensory stations. The guided tours last approx. 50 minutes and are available daily during the garden opening hours. For groups of 15 people or more, bookings must be made - smaller groups on request.

                                      Events

                                      Enjoy and experience the varied events at the Vitalpinum. From May to October, various seminars, cultural evenings, concerts and exhibitions are offered. Experience our atmospheric Christmas market in the Vitalpinum shop during the Advent season.
