From the plant ...

The production and extraction of essential oils have a long tradition in the company. Through our distilleries at the company locations and the existing know-how, we ensure the ability to complete the entire production process - from the plant to the essential oil to the cosmetic product - locally. We do not only produce the essential oil in East Tyrol, but also extract valuable, 100% pure and natural ingredients from regional plant materials. We obtain the plant material from local farmers and in consultation with the Austrian forestry authority. This avoids long transport routes and reduces dependence on suppliers.

Packaging ...

Product packaging must be able to do more than just look good. Safe transport, protection against germs and oxidation as well as the transmission of information to the consumer are important points. In addition, the packaging should have as little impact on the environment as possible during production and disposal. That is why we are taking the first steps by selling all 250 ml products ( embrocation, shower gel, body lotion, etc.) in bottles made of 100% recycled plastic. The goal is to use only packaging made of recycled plastic for liquid cosmetics in the near future or, in the best case, to switch to an ecological alternative. For sauna oils, essential oils, room fragrances and products in jars (creams and gels), we have already been doing without plastic for some time. All these products are sold in glass.

Steam & solar power

Our distillery is operated with steam, which is also used for heating the office buildings as well as other operating facilities. Only biomass - primarily wood pellets and the distilled raw material (such as branches and twigs) - is used to generate the steam. In addition, the roofs are equipped with photovoltaic systems. Thus, the company can do without fossil fuels and uses renewable energy for operation.

Vegan products from East Tyrol

The majority of our cosmetic products meet the vegan standard. Cosmetic products labelled as vegan do not contain any animal ingredients. For individual products, we do not want to/are not able to do without animal products due to the valuable caring aspect of individual raw materials. It is therefore always worth taking a look at the back of the product. Here, we always indicate a vegan recipe accordingly.

Certified natural cosmetics

Our three brands - Pinamor, Vitalpinum, Unterweger Die Marke der Natur - stand for our claim to the highest quality. We do our utmost to preserve the positive powers and effects of the alpine medicinal plants and to pass them on in the products. The Vitalpinum brand represents our certified organic and natural cosmetics. These products go through a strict testing procedure and are certified as organic or natural cosmetics by renowned external bodies.

Recycle ...

We ask you to dispose of empty packaging properly after use. To support resource-saving disposal, many of our products already have a disposal table on the back. The table shows which components the packaging can be broken down into and how they should be disposed of. For example, the bottle body with screw cap and the label can be separated from our alcoholic rubbings.

All components belong in the plastic waste. The simple color coding makes sorting easier. Please wipe or rinse out any remaining cosmetics in bottles and jars and then dispose of the packaging in plastic or glass waste. Help us improve the sustainability of our products by ensuring they are disposed of correctly. This will preserve the most important raw material for our products: the power of nature.
